Source Use Standards
Kilowatt Blueprint bases analysis on published documentation provided by equipment manufacturers and official distributors. We do not accept unverified marketing claims as baseline technical facts.
- Seller-Advertised Specs
- All numbers originating from merchant listings, user manuals, or promotional sheets are labeled as manufacturer ratings or seller-advertised numbers.
- Efficiency Derating
- Raw battery capacities (Wh) are never equated with delivered output. Analyses apply standard conversion adjustments (typically 15% to 20% inverter and thermal losses) rather than assuming 100% discharge efficiency.
- Compatibility Checking
- Solar input windows, open-circuit voltage (Voc) thresholds, and port pinouts are matched using published technical constraints, noting potential electrical bottlenecks.
Corrections Process
Equipment manufacturers alter internal hardware components, firmware, and retail specs without updating model names. When inaccuracies occur:
- Editorial records are checked against the latest revised manufacturer manual or engineering brief.
- Factual errors in electrical parameters, port allocations, or compatibility rules are corrected directly in the article body.
- Updated calculation tables receive revision notes where changes alter setup feasibility or runtime expectations.
